Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have been shooting for Bawaal, a Sajid Nadiadwala production directed by Nitesh Tiwari, in Europe for the past 2 months. Both have shot in several European countries including Paris and Amsterdam and are currently in Poland for the last leg of the shoot. And Pinkvilla exclusively learned that as part of their preparations, the two visited the Auschwitz Nazi camp in Poland.

"Varun and Janhvi listened to the complete history behind World War II and the story of the Jews. They went there like tourists, and heard the history of the place in a pre-recorded tape. The visit to this Nazi camp is related to the film's The plot, which has been kept completely secret for now," revealed a source close to the development, further adding that various aspects of Baaval will be unveiled closer to the release.

The film marks the reunion of Sajid Nadiadwala and Nitesh Tiwari after the National Award winning collaboration of Chhichhore. This is also Varun and Janhvi's pairing for the first time. “It is a special script for all the stakeholders. Shooting has been great so far, with Nitesh Tiwari and team capturing the visual base essence of the campus. They have shot the entire film in real locations so far – be it Be it in India or abroad, depending on the need of the story, and as a producer, Sajid has tried his best to complete all the formalities of the shoot."

The film is currently in the final stages of shooting, and is expected to be completed by late July/early August. Baawal is slated to release in theaters across the world in April 2023. Bawl aside, Varun is gearing up for another film with Sajid Nadiadwala - Sanki. It is an action packed entertainer and third collaboration for Varun and Sajid after Judwaa 2 and Bawal.

Varun's Bhi Bhideya is slated to release in 2022 while Janhvi will have 2 releases - Good Luck Jerry and Mili - this year. Stay connected with Pinkvilla for more updates.
