The admit cards for the GATE 2023 Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2023) will be released in January. At the same time, the examination will be conducted by IIT Kanpur in February. This exam will be held on 4th 5th 11th and 12th February 2022.
The GATE exam (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a computer-based standardised test administered at the national level in India to assess undergraduate students' knowledge of several engineering and scientific courses. For engineering graduates seeking admissions and/or financial assistance to Postgraduate Programs such as Master's and Doctoral with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government Scholarships / Assistantships that are subject to the admission criteria's of the institutes, passing the GATE exam is a mandatory requirement.Some public sector undertakings (PSUs) utilise GATE test results for recruitment, while numerous other institutions in India and overseas use GATE exam results for admissions.
The last date to apply for GATE Exam 2023 is near. IIT Kanpur will close the application process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2023) on September 30, 2022. Now in such a situation, all the candidates who want to apply for this exam and are not able to, they can complete the application process by visiting the portal. Candidates can apply by logging in to the official website gate.iitk.ac.in. However, candidates can apply with late fee till October 07, 2022.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will conduct the GATE exam for 29 papers. This exam will be for a total of 100 marks. In this, GA questions will be asked in all the papers (15 marks). Candidates may note that while selecting the list of exam cities, candidates can choose three exam cities. However, all the three options must be from the same GATE 2023 zone.
How to do online registration for GATE exam
Aspirants who have applied online for GATE Exam 2023 first visit the official website gate.iitk.ac.in. Thereafter, on the homepage, click on the “Apply Online” tab and complete the registration process. Now fill the GATE 2023 Application Form. Upload the required documents including scanned images of photograph and signature. Now pay the GATE registration fee. Cross check the filled GATE application form 2023. Submit GATE 2023 Application Form. After this, you can take a printout of the form and keep it.
Application Fee
Female candidates applying for GATE exam will have to pay a fee of Rs 850 per paper. Whereas SC / ST / PWD category candidates will have to pay Rs 850 (per paper). In addition, all other candidates (per paper) including foreign nationals will have to pay Rs 1700.
Eligibility Criteria
- Before beginning the GATE application process, all GATE candidates must confirm that they satisfy the GATE eligibility requirements.
- Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to take the GATE exam
- Students who have finished their 10+2+2 or 10+3+1 and are enrolled in the third year or higher of any undergraduate degree programme (10+2+3 (ongoing) programmes).
- Students who have finished a degree programme in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, or the Arts that has been sanctioned by the government.
- Students in their last year of a Master's degree programme in any discipline of science, mathematics, computer applications, or equivalent.
- There is no upper age limit for students who are qualified to take the GATE test.
