Godzilla vs Kong 2 release date is here. On Thursday, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures announced that the sequel to the 2021 monster film Godzilla Versus Kong will hit theaters around the world on March 15, 2024. The two Hollywood studios also revealed that the sequel to the 2021 epic sci-fi film Dune, which originally opened in theaters on October 20, 2023, will now open in theaters nearly a month later, on November 17, 2023. However, there is no word on the reason for the delay in Dune: Part Two release date.
For now, this means that Dune: Part Two will release on the
same day as The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, a prequel to
The Hunger Games trilogy. The second Dune film, like the first part, will be
directed by Denis Villeneuve. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya,
Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgrd and Josh Brolin reprise their roles from the
2021 film. He will be joined by Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and No Time
to Die actress Lee Seydoux.
While virtually nothing is known about the story of Godzilla vs. Kong 2, Wingard previously stated: "The obvious starting point we made (in Godzilla vs. Kong), while exploring Hollow Earth, I think there's a lot to do. This is a pre-history of planet earth, from where all the titans come. We have some mysteries in this movie which I want to see solved and explored and take them to the next level.
Doon: Part Two is now set to release in theaters on November 17, 2023. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 will open in theaters worldwide on March 15, 2024.
