The third season of the American television series The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as the title character, a benevolent hunter traveling to Mandalore with his partner Grogu to redeem their past crimes. It is part of the Star Wars franchise, set after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983). The season is produced by Lucasfilm, Fairview Entertainment and Golem Creations, with Jon Favreau serving as show runner.
Development on the third season of The Mandalorian began in late April 2020, and it was officially confirmed that December. Filming began in October 2021 and was completed in late March 2022.
The season is scheduled to premiere on the streaming service Disney in February 2023. The fourth season is in development.

At this early stage, the cast of The Mandalorian Season 3 is set in anything but Carbonite. Pedro Pascal will return as Din Jareen and Grogu is back by his side. Ongoing filming on Pascal's other new show, The Last of Us TV series, was anticipated to take priority over The Mandalorian Season 3 and filming would be delayed, but we've since seen production underway.

Carl Weathers is back as Greif Karga, and will also be directing again, as he confirmed at Steel City Con. After The Mandalorian Season 2 ended. Katie Sackhoff is back as Bo-Katan, and is now likely to set her sights on Darksaber with the weapon in Din's hands. Rosario Dawson may return, although he also has an upcoming spin-off and his status is unclear after his cameo in The Book of Boba Fett.
Back to the Future's Christopher Lloyd also joins the line-up in a mysterious role.
Meanwhile, Sasha Banks, AKA Mercedes Vernado, has confirmed that she will not return as Kosca Reeves in Season 3.
