The strongest of the three engine options available with the
Kia Carence is the 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that makes 140
horsepower and is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox with a 6-speed manual. Its DCT
variant comes with paddle shifters. In comparison, this feature is available
only in the diesel variants of Mahindra Marazzo, while the petrol variants of
Ertiga and XL6 come with paddle shifters.
Highest wheelbase and strong safety features
Kia India offers the highest wheelbase of this class with
the Carence, which is 2,780 mm. This simply means that the passengers will get
a lot of space in the cabin of the MPV. 6 airbags, hill start assist, hill hold
assist, TPMS and disc brakes are going to be available on all four wheels with
the carence. Please note that 6 airbags are not available with any other
vehicle in this class.
Great features and spacious cabin
The second row of the Kia Carens can be folded up
automatically, that too by just pressing a button. The cabin has got two
digital displays including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The
system comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, apart from connected
car features as well. Here comes the second number 12.5-inch LCD digital
cluster which is probably the largest in size.
