Doon: Part Two is set to start production later this month, according to a new report. The two-day pre-shoot is said to begin today at the Carlo Scarpa-designed Brian Tomb in Italy, which is located in the Veneto region and is a perfect fit in the Dune universe. Full production on Dune: Part Two begins July 21 in Hungary, where the first part was also shot. However, there is no information about who will be a part of this schedule nor when it will end.

Deadline brings word of Dune: Part Two starting filming this month. However, the report does not reveal any details about the sequences/sequences nor the cast involved.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, who served in a similar capacity to the 2021 film, the second Dune film has been described as "bigger and better" than the first part. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin reprise their respective roles from Dune. Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, and Lee Seydoux are new additions to the cast of Dune: Part Two, among others.

The Dune sequel was originally slated to hit screens in October 2023, but Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures recently pushed the release date of Dune: Part Two by almost a month to November 17, 2023. The revised date means that for now, it will debut in theaters on the same day as The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the prequel to The Hunger Games tetralogy.

When it opened in theaters in 2021, Dune emerged as a commercial success, grossing around $401 million (approximately Rs 3,168 crore) globally on a budget of $165 million (approximately Rs 1,303 crore). The science-fiction epic received largely positive reviews, though we raved about it too much.

The shooting of Doon: Part Two will start from July 21 in Hungary. The Dune sequel is scheduled to release worldwide on November 17, 2023.
