Rakul Preet Singh is busy in Bollywood these days and occasionally doing Telugu films. He was last seen in Czech and Kondapolam in 2020 and 2021 respectively. While her Telugu fans are disappointed with her disappearance in Tollywood, the actress has now opened up about why she is not doing much in Telugu films.
In an interactive session with fans on Instagram, Rakul Preet Singh opened up about why she is not doing Telugu films. A fan asked the actress, "Will you do a Telugu film or do you want to stick to only Hindi films (with a crying emoticon)" to which she left a video message, "No, of course, I will do a Telugu film . I am just waiting to do something different, something that really challenges me. Yes, right now, I am busy with projects here but for me, it is script over language." She added heart emojis along with the answers.
Rakul Preet Singh made her Telugu debut in 2011 with a film titled Keeratam and carved a niche for herself as a bankable actress within a few years. He achieved great success in Telugu and Tamil with films like Venkatadri Express (2013), Lokyam (2014), Pandaga Chesco (2015), Sarrenodu (2016), Dhruva (2016), Rarandoi Vedauka Chudham (2017), Spider-Man (2017), and others.
Rakul Preet Singh is a part of Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 but it got stalled due to various reasons. Now it is expected that the shooting of the film will resume. She also had a Tamil film Ayalan opposite Sivakarthikeyan. Although the shooting of the film has ended long back, it is not known why the film did not reach the audience.
In Bollywood, Rakul Preet Singh has many promising projects waiting to release in 2022. The actress will play the female lead in the social drama Doctor Ji alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Shefali Shah. She will be seen in Indra Kumar's comedy film Thank God opposite Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra, which will release on Diwali this year.
