The SunRise University will, on an annual basis, decide the maximum number of candidates for admission to the programme, which will be announced in advance in a notification and on the website. PHD Admission to the program will be done twice a year, preferably at the beginning of each semester. Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks for General and OBC category and 50% marks for SC/ST category for Master's degree in concerned/allied/relevant subjects will be required to appear in the written examination conducted by the University. will have to be involved. PhD(Doctor of Philosophy) In Food & Nutrition program shall be based on the candidate marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective department of school of the particular or each university or college. Those candidates who have completed their GATE or NET/SET or M.Phil Examinations in the pertinent subjects of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR will be disowned from the Entrance Test. While giving the exemptions, the Departmental Committee of the university may be considered research work or earlier Ph.D.(Doctor of Philosophy) or experience done by the candidate. If a candidate already holds the Doctor of degree in Food & Nutrition subject from the UGC Approved Universities or Colleges, he or she may be exempted from entrance exam and pre Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) course work. After clearing both steps the candidate will be eligible to pay the course fee or registration fee. Only the predetermined number of candidates may be admitted to the Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) program of Food & Nutrition.
