Avengers Kong Dynasty Release Date, Cast, and Reviews.

Avengers: Kong Dynasty may not be coming to theaters for a few more years, but anticipation for Avengers 5 is already skyrocketing. The film, which is soon followed by Avengers: Secret Wars, is part of the Multiverse Saga and Marvel Phase 6. The movie is far from over, plot and character details are scarce - but there's still a lot to read while we wait.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Deston Daniel Cretton is in the director's chair, and the film finds its writer in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumia's Jeff Loveness. While the casting and character details remain unknown, it is probably safe to assume that Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror, first seen in the Loki finale, will appear in a film named after him.

Below, we've rounded up all the information about the film, and we've also dived into the source material for clues that can be gleaned from the comics. For all things Avengers: Kang Dynasty, look no further than our ultimate guide.

RELEASE

Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed Avengers: Kong Dynasty release date at Marvel's 2022 San Diego Comic-Con panel: The next Avengers movie is expected on May 5, 2025. We're also getting Avengers: Secret Wars six months later on November 7. 2025. When it rains, it rains.

Why such a long wait between Avengers: Endgame and Kang Dynasty? “When we were doing Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3, there were projects in [fewer] more years,” Feige previously explained. “They were small projects and individual character stories, and it felt appropriate at the time, that for a phase every two or three years, we would do an Avengers movie.

“Since [Phases] 4, 5, and 6 were coming together, there are more projects in fewer years – because of all the wonderful things we are now allowed to do on Disney Plus, and getting characters from Fox – Fantastic Four, And Deadpool - it felt like, of course after Infinity War and Endgame, we thought the Avengers movies weren't capers."

Instead of ending with the Avengers movies, Marvel Phase 4 instead ends with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Marvel Phase 5 ends with Thunderbolt.
