Alia Bhatt is all set to make her debut as a producer with her debut production Darlings. On Tuesday, the first glimpse of the film was shared by the actress, which features her, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in an exciting ensemble cast. Directed by Jasmeet K Reen, Alia Bhatt is also co-producing Darlings with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. This is his second collaboration with Superstar after Dear Zindagi.
Leaving the first glimpse of the film, Alia announced, "It's just a tease darlings. Coming to Netflix on August 5th." The teaser of the Netflix film is over a minute long and features the narration of the famous frog and scorpion story in Hindi along with four actors.
Set in Mumbai, Darlings is a quirky dark comedy that revolves around the life of a mother-daughter relationship. Shefali Shah will be seen playing the role of Alia Bhatt's mother in the film while Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew will be seen in pivotal roles. The teaser featured a romantic track between the characters of Vijay Varma and Alia Bhatt.
Helmed by debutant director Jasmeet K Reen, the music for the film is composed by filmmaker-composer Vishal Bhardwaj.
