Johnny Depp will not go to court again. Following his massive victory in a $50 million defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor was relegated to another lawsuit with location manager Greg "Rocky" Brooks on the 2018 film City of Lies Gaya, who accused Depp of assault. Now, new information suggests that a motion has been prepared to settle the lawsuit.

A notice of settlement was filed in the court on Monday. The deal requires Depp to meet unspecified terms of the settlement under a set period, in which case, it puts Depp on the clock until the end of August. The filing paper reads, “Dismissal of the matter on satisfactory fulfillment of the conditions specified in the Settlement Agreement which is not to be made within 45 days of the date of settlement. Request for Dismissal shall be filed not later than 1/5th / 2023," according to The Hollywood Reporter. If Depp does not comply with the terms of the agreement, the trial will reopen, while hearings in the case were due to begin later in July.

Meanwhile, Johnny has another lawsuit. On July 8, Amber Heard, who refused to back down from her claims even after losing her case, filed new legal documents through her legal team. The Aquaman starlet's side alleges that a wrongdoer acted on jury duty in the Johnny Depp defamation case. After the Heard team's filing, Depp's team asked the court to strike down their "frivolous" allegations.
