The Master of Science in Horticulture is a postgraduate agricultural science and technology course. Horticulture is the science, art, technology and business involved in the intensive cultivation of plants for human use. The duration of MSc in Horticulture is mostly two academic years but it varies from institution to institution. As far as horticulture is concerned, it is the science of plant cultivation which involves the process of preparing the soil for planting seeds, tubers and cuttings. Horticulturalists work and conduct research in the disciplines of plant propagation and cultivation, crop production, plant breeding and genetic engineering, plant biochemistry, and plant physiology.
