The National Defence Academy test, often known as the NDA exam, is one of the most coveted military entry examinations in the country. The test is for admission to the NDA's Army, Navy, and Air Force wings, as well as the Indian Naval Academy's course (INAC). The NDA test is held twice a year and consists of two parts: a written exam and an SSB interview. A total of 5.3 lakh applicants applied for the test in 2020, with 2.4 lakh students showing up for it. The UPSC compiles a list of applicants who get the required minimum score in the written test. Candidates who pass the SSB Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test are summoned for an SSB Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test.

reserving every place for those who merit it.
