NEET UG - National Eligibility cum Entrance Test all details

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a once-a-year all-India entrance test for MBBS admission. According to the NMC Act, 2019, the NEET Undergraduate (UG) is the single entrance test for admission to all medical colleges across India, including the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).From 2012 onwards, the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) was replaced by the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (UG), also known as NEET-UG. NEET is a competitive entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS degrees that is held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) until 2018.

·         Must have received a 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core courses. Aspirants who have completed Class 12 or equivalent are also eligible to apply for NEET UG.

·         General age limit is 17 to 25 years old (on or before 31st December of the same year) 17 to 30 years SC/ST/OBC/PWD

Exam Time Table:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NEET UG 2022 test date. On May 2, 2022, the NEET test will be held (Tentative).

The distinction between NEET UG and NEET PG is that NEET UG is the medical entrance examination for admission into undergraduate courses such as MBBS, BDS, and so on, whereas NEET PG is the entrance examination for admission into postgraduate courses such as MD, MS, MDS, PG diplomas, and so on, in all of India's prestigious colleges.
