KTM has confirmed that the first bike under the new 500cc
platform will be launched in 2022. It is likely to be the KTM 490 Duke and you
can read more about it in our report here. The new platform will employ a 500cc
parallel-twin liquid-cooled powerplant like the KTM 790 Duke. Expect plenty of
performance along with healthy levels of refinement to boot.
